Hi! welcome to my journey to a healthier life. Like a lot of people, I was stuck in a vicious cycle of poor diet, no exercise, and no routine. I spent years trying all of the quick fixes thinking any one of these things could be the magic potion to melt away the years of bad decisions, but the truth is none of them worked. I conjured this monster in my head that successful weight loss was a mountain to climb and had to be a dead sprint the whole time.

After years of failure, I took a good hard look at my strategy and realized repeating the same thing over and over expecting different result was insanity at its core. The change didn’t happen over night. It took lots of trial and error, tears, disappointments, and failures to finally arrive at a progress. I am here to share this journey with you, and more importantly give you the tools that I used over the last year to make a change in the dumbest way possible. The Dumb Fitness Challenge uses the principal of creating sustainable change in habits by building them in micro steps. Rather than approaching your goal with existential dread, the strategy is to start with one and build your way from there.

I’ll share tidbits of my process through out this blog, stories of my past life trying to claw my way out of a bucket of KFC Fried Chicken, and the many lessons I learned along the way. I hope you’ll join me!
